In general, we recommend you use 1 word names for the objects (turtles, pages, text boxes, sliders and sounds) that you create.

By doing so, it’s easy to refer to them:

madison, setshape 44  (if you have changed the name of a Turtle to Madison)


Sayas Case

But sometimes you have to use names consisting of several words.

One example is when you want to hear a particular voice that your Operating System provides.


In this case the name of the object may have a space in it (or another “special symbol”), then use apostrophes on both sides:

sayas  [Hello everyone] 'Google UK English female'


Another option is to use the following syntax:

sayas  "|Hello everyone| "|Google USA English female|
